Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 amโ€“5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Absolutely not recommended. There was hardly any exam given by the dentist. I visited for tooth pain and she tried to tell me I needed to see a specialist because of my periodontal and send me a my way. I explained I had severe dental anxiety and she had no bedside manner snd didnt care. The hygienist must have been new or a student because she was constantly being corrected. I should have left then. The dentist didnt even look at the problem area. She said she could pull it and i was already there so I agreed. She didn't even numb the whole area before giving me a needle! I literally cried in pain. I heard the tooth Crack in my mouth. She said thats because that was where the infection was? I immediately began having a sore throat. I called this morning and then does she offer to give me an antibiotic. If she knew there was an infection yesterday I should have received antibiotics then. I beg you never to go see this woman. And of course she made sure I made my payment before I was even out of the chair. Ridiculous

Had a great appointment this morning with Coast Dental Poinciana. It was just a cleaning. But I appreciate when everything goes like you expect. I was on time and guess we started right away. Then made sure I was comfortable and that I had my quirky things like Vaseline on my lips before starting and my paper towel on my bald held during the process. Lol. It may not sound like much but when they go out of their way to accommodate you it is genuinely appreciated! They even made sure I got my receipts sent to me how I wanted me bring difficult and they taking care of me. Good people great visit! Treated like family not a customer!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Coast Dental Poinciana deserves to be shared. I want to start by acknowledging the few positives from my visit. Linda, the hygienist, was absolutely outstanding, thorough, kind, and genuinely attentive. Marilyn at the front desk was also wonderful, welcoming, and very professional. Unfortunately, thatโ€™s where the positive part of my visit ends. The dentistโ€™s demeanor was rude, condescending, and dismissive. What stood out most was the complete absence of a real exam. The dentist didnโ€™t take the time to look at my teeth, or perform any handsโ€‘on evaluation. Instead, she simply listed a series of supposed issues without ever actually examining me. It felt impersonal and careless. On top of that, I was charged for a televisit with an offโ€‘site doctor to review the same images the onโ€‘site dentist could have reviewed. My insurance didnโ€™t cover it, and at no point was I told this would be an additional charge. That kind of information should absolutely be communicated before the service is done. I also couldnโ€™t shake the feeling that the dentistโ€™s attitude toward me was noticeably different from how she interacted with others in the of

From the front lady at the front desk, to the dental tech named Vanessa, to the primary doctor it was the BEST experience i ever received in this dental facility. The moment I was attended to, i felt like it was a second home to me without knowing anybody. My first experience at the coast dental in Kissimmee was the worst. But this one in Poinciana was by far 5 out of 5. Thank you to all the ladies who made my experience the calmest and nurturing one by far. I would definitely recommend this coast dental to all my friends and family.
